Can a foreigner buy a condo in Pattaya?
Yes. Under Thai law, foreigners can own a condo if no more than 49% of the building’s area is owned by foreigners. This is called “Freehold”. See Condominium Act B.E. 2522.
Can I buy land in Thailand as a foreigner?
No, direct land ownership is prohibited. However, you can lease it for 30 years (renewable) or register a company. Legal support is required for all options.
What taxes does a property buyer pay in Pattaya?
Usually: Transfer Fee, Stamp Duty, Withholding Tax, and Business Tax. Allocation of taxes depends on the deal terms.
How can I check if a property is free of debt?
