Duties and responsibilities
GoldFish Expert is currently seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to join our professional team in Pattaya. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified legal expert to contribute to the growth and compliance of a dynamic consulting company supporting international and local clients.
Legal support:
- Provide comprehensive legal support and strategic advice to executives and cross-functional project teams across all stages of corporate processes.
- Assess legal risks and develop reasoned legal opinions and recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Advise on key regulatory and legal issues to safeguard the company’s interests and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Interpret applicable laws, regulations, and legal documents for internal stakeholders, considering business realities and potential legal exposure.
- Liaise with external counsel and law firms on litigation, civil and labor matters; monitor case status and provide regular reports.
Leadership and oversight:
- Supervise junior legal staff in corporate matters and in the development of company legal positions.
- Define strategic legal directions for business development and compliance.
- Participate in drafting and implementation of internal legal compliance policies and standards.
- Advise employees and facilitate effective coordination with other departments and government authorities.
Contractual and documentation management
- Oversee preparation and review of legal documentation, including legal reports, powers of attorney, and complex commercial contracts.
- Develop standard contractual terms and legal templates for clients and counterparties.
- Review and structure legal documents in line with the company’s internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborative work
- Assist junior legal staff in drafting and negotiating business-related documents, and support during meetings with counterparties.
- Conduct legal research, including matters related to licensing and permits.
- Provide legal services to clients on complex matters with timely and practical legal advice.
Regulatory awareness
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes relevant to the company’s operations and client needs.
- Contribute to the development of internal procedures and training programs as needed.
Additional responsibilities
- Perform other duties appropriate for the position of Senior Legal Counsel.
- Carry out assignments from the Head of Legal Department, CFO, or Managing Partner.
- Collaborate with department heads on matters related to legal compliance and corporate governance.
Candidate requirements
Education
- Master’s degree in Law from an accredited university.
- Membership in the Thai Bar Association is mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of legal experience, preferably in corporate law.
- Prior in-house counsel or law firm experience is required.
Professional Skills
- Proven expertise in drafting various legal documents including contracts, NDAs, MOUs, and partnership agreements.
- Solid knowledge of corporate, tax, and financial law.
Communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Thai; proficiency in English is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Advanced user of MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for reports and presentations.
